Amy Driscoll Hamilton, LCSW., M.Ed.
Amy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who holds two Master's Degrees;
one in Social Work, and the other in Education. Amy’s 20+ year career has
been spent working with children, adolescents, adults, families and
couples.
Amy specializes in individual, group, crisis intervention, career counseling/post-secondary counseling in addition to family and couples counseling. Amy also works with same sex couples. Amy is also skilled at executive coaching. Amy believes everyone should have a safe and healing place to work through life's difficulties. She utilizes a variety of approaches including Strength-Based, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Therapy utilizing a eclectic holistic approach to various mental health issues, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Therapy. Amy has a real life approach.
Amy has worked in a variety of settings including community-based behavioral health, public education and private practice. Amy’s work and training experience include community outreach, child, adult and family mental health services, addiction and trauma in addition to College/Career Planning. Amy is well versed in educational laws, understanding the diagnosis and treatment of learning and behavior disorders and mental health disorders.
Amy is a firm believer that people have the strength within themselves to heal, but sometimes they need a little help in finding it, especially when faced with difficult life transitions and challenges. Amy helps people in bridging the gap between physical and psychological concerns in order to promote overall wellness and healing. Amy empowers her clients to pursue deep truths and challenges of recovery by helping them to resolve the impact of past traumas in order to live a more connected and embodied life.
Amy’s goal is to connect with clients in the most authentic way possible while at the same time assisting and supporting clients to be the author of their own lives.
